Victorian Plumbing UK Championship Snooker
The Victorian Plumbing UK Championship Snooker runs from November 23rd to December 1st and once again it returns to the York Barbican, where it was first staged in 2001.
Fans coming to one of snooker’s Triple Crown events can always expect to see the sport’s all-time greats. The likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, Neil Robertson, Mark Selby and Judd Trump have lifted the trophy in York in recent years.
First staged in 1977, the UK Championship is one of snooker’s Triple Crown events, with incredible history and prestige. Ticket sales are increasing year after year as fans enjoy the extraordinary atmosphere and the ever-improving experience of a day out on the World Snooker Tour.
A spokesman for WST said: “This has become the hottest ticket in town, particularly since we changed the format last year, which enhanced the atmosphere in the arena. Plus there is so much to do aside from watching the action on the tables, including the chance to try snooker yourself in CueZone, enjoy interactive games and watch the pros practising.
“We’ve seen superb matches already this week, including six which have gone to a deciding frame! And it will build towards an enthralling conclusion as the giants of the sport go head to head. Make sure you will be there next year as one of the lucky few to see the tournament unfold inside the Barbican.”
