York Barbican is delighted to announce that YorkMix is the official media partner of York Barbican.
The news was revealed by breakfast present Ben Fry on the YorkMix Radio Breakfast Show this morning.
Ben Fry said: “The team at YorkMix and YorkMix Radio are delighted to announce that today we have become media partners of York Barbican as the venue gets ready to reopen.”
It means the first news acts coming to York Barbican, exclusive interviews with the stars and big competitions will be available on YorkMix Radio and online.
York Barbican’s marketing manager Jack Dunkerley welcomed the news: “We’re really happy to be working with you guys."
“I’m sure they’ll be loads of exciting stuff to come in the next few months. There’s plenty of announcements to come, lots of exciting shows – and we want to get people involved as we reopen the venue.”
Bands coming up in September include Del Amitri and Hawkwind. As well as the Manics, Scouting For Girls and Richard Thompson play the venue in October.
