16 Dec 2019

Christmas may only be just around the corner, but we've given you some early Christmas presents with a bunch of new shows coming to York Barbican in 2020.

Take a look at our latest show announcements below.

THE BOOMTOWN RATS | 25 APR 2020

The Boomtown Rats are back on tour in 2020, ahead of releasing their long-awaited new album, 'Citizens of Boomtown'.

Formed in 1975, the band exploded out of Ireland and have toured with the likes of The Ramones and The Talking Heads, before becoming one of the biggest bands of the late 70s/80s with a string of top ten hits and awards.

GO WEST & PAUL YOUNG | 13 SEP 2020

Heavyweight chart-toppers Go West & Paul Young head to York Barbican on their double bill UK tour, performing all their hits on a bumper bill of nostalgic pop.

Go West was one of the most successful singer/songwriter duos of the ’80s, producing hits such We Close Our Eyes’, ‘Call Me’ and “Don’t Look Down’.

Paul Young's career took off with the seminal album ‘No Parlez’ and so many subsequent top 10 hits such as “Wherever I Lay My Hat”, ‘Love of The Common People’, ‘Every time You Go Away’ & ‘Everything Must Change’.

JEROME REMBLANCE | 31 MAR 2020

Pocklington based singer Jerome Remblance will fulfil a lifelong ambition of playing on our stage this March.

Back in the 90s, Jerome sang with an original funk-soul band called ‘Naked Orange’, and has gone on to sing on his own, performing at various parties, weddings and more.

Expect to hear everything from swing, soul and even some reggae, in a show-stopping concert supporting local charities York Against Cancer and Diabetes UK.

Take a look at our other upcoming concerts including Frank Turner, The Bootleg Beatles and many more.
