Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra Announce UK Tour

Musical master of ceremonies Jools Holland and his much-loved Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have today announced the run of dates and special guests of their 2016 Autumn/Winter UK tour.

Starting in Southend on October 26 the tour will take in 33 shows across the UK including two dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of November. Renowned as one of the UK’s most popular tours, now in its 21st year, these shows are not to be missed and will this year feature special guests The Selecter’s Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson.

Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson, from Coventry based two-tone band and ska pioneers The Selecter, will be joining Jools for the Autumn / Winter tour. The Selecter released their debut album ‘Too Much Pressure’ in 1980 and it still remains a milestone in British music history.

Vocalists Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson relaunched The Selecter in 2011 and have been an unstoppable force ever since entertaining audiences throughout the country with their incredible live performances which include the show-stopping ‘On My Radio’.

Fans will be thrilled to hear that the shows will once again feature the astounding vocals of Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall along with a new addition, the rich soulful tones of Beth Rowley. Beth is known for her love of Blues and Gospel and her top ten debut album ‘Little Dreamer’ was nominated for a BRIT Award. She is currently working on her second album. Together with the inimitable musicianship of the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra which features the drums of original Squeeze member Gilson Lavis, Jools Holland will be performing tracks spanning his entire solo career as well as songs taken from his latest album Jools & Ruby, released in December 2015.

With a catalogue that reaches through decades, a night with Jools Holland will bring you the greatest boogie-woogie party in town!
