Lee Ryan Joins Cast For ‘Rip It Up The 70s’ UK Tour

18 Jun 2019

'All Rise' Blue fans, we have some big news!

Today it has been announced that Lee Ryan, the singer-songwriter from smash-hit boyband Blue, will be joining the Rip It Up The 70's cast for their 2019 tour alongside Louis Smith MBE, S Club 7's Rachel Stevens and Melody Thornton from The Pussycat Dolls.

The Blue star will be adding his stunning vocal talents to the smash hit show, which brings the soundtrack of arguably popular music’s greatest decade to life to audiences nationwide, heading to York Barbican on Tuesday 29 October 2019.

Famously known as a member of the multi-platinum-selling British boy band Blue, Lee has represented the UK with Blue at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, and joined the cast of EastEnders in 2017. He is also no stranger to the dance floor, having partnered professional dancer Nadyaa Bychkova during the 2018 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Looking ahead to the tour, Lee said, “I am truly delighted and excited to be joining this new cast for Rip It Up The 70s. I heard so much about the previous Rip It Up tours, as well as the show’s sell-out West End run, that the chance to sing so many classic ‘70s songs in this amazing new production is a something I’m very much looking forward to."
